Hole-in-the-Wall Tri Tip Dinner

hole in the wallWe are trying something different for May’s Hole-in-the-Wall dinner.    The next dinner  will be on Saturday, May 11th at 6:00PM.  There is a little place called the “Ballroom” in the Arbour Lodge 7700 Del Webb Blvd in  Elk Grove.   Not real fancy,  bring your own steak knife/silverware and your favorite beverage, then enjoy a dinner that will  include  Tri-Tip, Baked Potatoes,  Baked Beans, Salad, Rolls & Dessert -  all for  only $10.00 per person.

We will be supporting the Lions club fundraiser for the Elk Grove Senior Center for the purchase of a new van.   So,  by signing up, not only do you get a wonderful tri-tip dinner,  you will be supporting a great non-profit.  There will be plenty of time to relax and enjoy this casual style dinner without ever leaving Glenbrooke!

We are going to be using our new MEET UP GROUP, "Glenbrooke Fun Lovers" to manage RSVP's, ending emails, and collecting any monies, if needed.   There is no fee to join- and it might take awhile to get approved -  but once  Glenbrooke residency is confirmed, you will  be able to pay, get notices of upcoming events, be able to manage  your RSVPs,  all at the click of the mouse!

  1. How convenient, sign up and pay all in one click without leaving the house. It's time our GCA gets in the loop...times are a changin'.

In all fairness, I just noticed that several groups are participating, spearheaded by the Elk Grove Lions, along with Elk Grove Rotary, Elk Grove Optimist Club, Elk Grove Soroptimist Club, Senior Center of Elk Grove, Elk Grove Citizen, Strauss Festival of Elk Grove, Pride of Laguna Creek Lions Club, and Lyon Real Estate.

  2. Thanks for mentioning the other groups helping out Norma,
I can't imagine how many volunteers it takes to put something like this together. I figured we would support it by enjoying the fruits of their labor - dinner :)

To reserve and pay for your dinner, go to Meet Up or if you prefer, Jim or I will take cash or check but we must receive it by 4:00PM on the 7TH for the pre-order. You can drop it off at our house any time. There a container on our porch and our address in listed in the directory.

  3. WOW!
We now have 50 sign-ups between those that signed up the lunch yesterday, and those that signed up online. Still time for any Glenbrooke resident (and guests) to sign up as long as you pay by Monday.

Don't forget to bring a steak knife, fork and your favorite beverage!

  4. LOL...that's going to be a lot of Tri-Tip for someone to slice.

  5. When you go to join the MEET UP group, WAIT until you get an email saying you were "approved" for the group. We had to do that to verify Glenbrooke Residency.

AFTER you get the approved eamil THEN go in to pay. In the future, you will be a member so will see upcoming events that you can reserve you space with a click.

It seems this will work well once everyone is registered.

  6. Last call for Tri Tip dinner. All monies must be received by Monday at 4:00PM.

We now have 82 people who have paid!.
Please remember to bring your steak knives, forks, favorite beverage and some zip lock bags to take home left overs.
