Something that was recently discussed was the troubling times many HOA's are having during this economic turndown we're experiencing. Is Glenbrooke immune to this? Are we anticipating the challenges of budget preparation in the future? Seems operating costs continue to rise. We just spent $ 700. mailing out a revised Design Guideline and assume will spend the same to mail out the approved edition. Did we really need to revise the guidelines that were two years old? Could we have maybe just red-lined certain areas for revision if necessary? What about insurance costs that will most likely increase due to insurance companies needing to restore their reserve balances? Are we fully covered? Replacement coverage alone is not adequate I am told. Perhaps building codes have changed that would not be covered under replacement coverage. Are employees driving their personal autos to run errands for Glenbrooke covered under OUR policy for the excess of their policies that might occur in case of an accident and lawsuit? If not, we could be liable for the excess amounts. I'm sure there are many other points to be made. Just "food for thought."
