In the history of the Big Band era, the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra is recognized as one of the best all-around big bands of them all. Anyone want to see Sunshine Boys on Sunday, July 24,2011 at 2:00PM?

Stephen Kauffman and Robert Gerould star as a pair of aging vaudevillians, former partners who now can't stand each other despite efforts by a nephew to reunite them for a television special in The Sunshine Boys, the Tony Award-nominated comedy by Neil Simon. The play was later adapted into an Oscar winning movie with Walter Matthau and George Burns.

A light potluck will be served and you are asked to bring an item to share for the potluck.      The troop will perform scenes from King Arthur.      The event starts at 11:30 and costs $5.00.

Neighbors are also encouraged to come to the Arbour Lodge patio area for Happy Hour every Saturday night - when there is not a special event.   This is a free event of MINGLES for all neighbors to enjoy our facilities, visit and get outdoors.    Happy Hour is free but you are asked to bring your favorite beverage.  There is no need to sign up-just come any Saturday you are able!

A delectable comedy about mistaken identity, adultery and gourmet cooking was a huge hit in Paris. Don't Dress for Dinner follows the misadventures of Bernard, who plans a romantic weekend with his mistress while his wife is out of town, even hiring a Cordon Bleu-trained chef to cook, and inviting along a bachelor pal as an alibi. Mix all of these ingredients together, and events get suitably stirred up in this breakneck farce from Bob and Ro Productions.

Estelle Reiner, the wife of actor-director Carl Reiner and mother of actor-director Rob Reiner was 65 when she began a career as a jazz singer. Over the next 28 years, she recorded seven albums and performed in clubs in New York and Los Angeles

Don’t read music?

Many of our chorus members don’t read music. In fact, many have never sung with a chorus or choir before. We provide CDs of the music specifically created for each part (Alto, Soprano, Tenor and Bass), so that our members can learn and memorize their timing and harmonies. Then Alex is able to concentrate the rehearsals on singing techniques, breath, expression, and blending the voices.

Why join the Chorus?

More than 42 million Americans sing in choruses. It’s a great way to make some new friends and enjoy the company of “old” ones.  Everyone is friendly and supportive, and we are all there to have fun doing what we love.  It puts you in a good mood regardless of whatever else is going on in your life.   It’s a chance to learn from a critically acclaimed conductor with years of experience.

We welcome new members. There is truly something here for all interests and abilities, from the variety of music we sing to the opportunities for those who want do solos as well as those who just love to be a part of the chorus.
