Bringing Neighbors Together

Upcoming changes to GlenbrookeNews

changes

After  almost five years, Darcie has decided to radically scale back the time she spends on GlenbrookeNews.   She will report on the election results and then  I have volunteered to keep the site going on a much reduced basis.

Where in the past there have been almost daily posts, going forward expect far fewer new items (of course depending upon the items submitted by community members).  I anticipate posting some notices from the city of Elk Grove and occasional items of clear interest or value to Glenbrooke residents. Because many of us will no longer find it worthwhile to check in here regularly, we will provide an email notification option that will let you know when something new is posted.

To take advantage of this feature, go to the 'subscribe'page, or just enter your email address here. You will receive an email with a link to confirm.

  1. A well deserved rest from a project you put your heart into and will be missed by many I am sure and from this little speck in the community, my love and respect for your hugh contribution to us. It will be missed.

We do have a means available to us by way of the Gazette for some part of this to continue in keeping the community informed of happenings, not only here, but in the community we live, Elk Grove, if we so wish. I for one, do not like the direction our Gazette has gone recently and believe we must take it back to keeping the residents informed and leave the "social" pages to the SacBee. We have many ongoing events, etc. in the community of EG that I believe we should cover in our Gazette to keep residents informed about. I might even include covering past and future events here in Glenbrooke that as we all know the majority do not attend, but perhaps would like to read about. Maybe there is someone who could cover all of those that are upcoming during the month. Just sayin' and most likely on deaf ears. lol JMHO
