Public Meeting to Explore Potential Rezoning

EGCITY LOGOPublic Meeting to Explore Potential Rezoning  The City of Elk Grove will hold a public meeting on April 15 to discuss potential sites for rezoning to meet  the needs identified in the 2013-2021 Housing Element. The City of Elk Grove is in the process of updating its Housing Element, an integral part of the City’s General Plan, which assesses housing needs in Elk Grove and lays out goals and policies for addressing those needs. An important goal of the Housing Element is to ensure the City has adequate land for its fair share of affordable housing  development in the region. In this planning period, the City must zone land sufficient to accommodate 3,500 dwelling units affordable to low- and very low-income households. The City identified potential sites and is seeking public input. The meeting will be held at April 15 , 2013 at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 8400 Laguna Palms Way. 1. In looking at the map and searching for some of the properties with the gold squares marked with the numbers 2 - 3 & 4, Undeveloped/Vacant and Non-Entitled Sites on Existing List, it appears the locations are 10140, 10149 & 10371 Bruceville, just south of Poppy Ridge.
