Pickleball’s Growing Popularity Results in More Court Time
More and more Glenbrooke residents are discovering the fun of Pickleball, which has lead to schedule adjustments for play. See the new schedule below.
What is Pickleball?
From the USAPA,
Pickleball is a fun game that is played on a badminton court with the net lowered to 34 inches at the center. It is played with a perforated plastic baseball (similar to a whiffle ball) and wood or composite paddles. It is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. Watch a pickleball video.
There is time set aside for both competitive players and those that want to learn or just have fun. The following is the new schedule which allows more court time for both groups.
The 'competitive' or more advanced players have reserved the following court times:
Mondays at 10:00 AM
Fridays at 10:00 AM
Wednesday at 7:00 PM
Sunday at 7:00 PM
For those that would like to try the game or play a slower game, these court times have been reserved:
Wednesday 10:00 AM
Thursday 10:00 AM
Saturday at 10:00 AM
