Identify Your Dog: Free Pet Pictures at Bark In the Park
Have you noticed the heading for 'OUR PETS' on the navigational bar of this page - under the picture of the Fountain at the top of this page? There is an important purpose to that page. Yes, we know our pets are the best looking anywhere, but did you know that the 'OUR PET' section has been responsible for reuniting at least 3 pets with their owners?
The idea is to have a 'directory' of our pets so if you see a loose animal in the neighbor, the first thing to do is check the directory and match the picture to the animal then call the owner. This returns the pet fastest and saves the trauma of going with Animal Control to a kennel.
Under the picture of each pet, you will see their name along with the owners' last name. Then simply look up the name in the resident directory and give them a call. There has been a problem with gates blowing opening and sometimes the owners are not even aware their dog or cat is out.
How do you get your pets' picture in the Glenbrookenews Pet Directory? If you are a homeowner with a pet, simply email the picture with the information to Darciegore @ gmail or come to "Bark in the Park" on July 9th. The will also be pet vendors, pet products, training tips, care info, and giveaways from 10:00 am to noon. Free hot dog lunch! for Glenbrooke homeowners. If desired the pictures taken will be emailed to you at no charge.
