Root, Root, Root for Our Home Team!
What do Glenbrooke Del Webb and Heritage Park have in common? Besides both being age restricted 55+ communities in the Sacramento area, they will compete in a Pickleball tournament this Friday, July 1, 2011 from 10:00 to noon on the Arbour Lodge Courts! Our Glenbrooke Competitive Pickleball players will be hosting the Heritage Park team and we want them to feel welcome and impressed with our team support.

Since someone had to extend an invitation for the two Pickleball teams to play, I am going to dub this the 1st Invitational Pickleball Tournament. Our courts were selected for this tournament as the courts already have Pickleball lines painted and nets the proper height. Tell your neighbors about this free event. Let us root, root, root for the home team, 'cause if they don't win it's a shame!

I told Helen M. that I was going to get pom poms to cheer on the team. She asked, "what are Glenbrooke's "colors?"
I said I didn't know and she suggested either :
Blue and Gray - for women's blue hair and men' gray (although I have not seen a blue hair among us
or
Black and Blue - for bruises that appear from nowhere. If you see bruises on the left arm they could be a Pickleball player!
Maybe Green and Black - gotta get that pickle green in there.
Any other suggestions before I go to the party store?
Green for sure.......did they get matching shirts. If so, guess you should use those colors.
How about seating, when I went there was only seating for maybe four people.
You may want to bring a lawn chair to be sure, but they were going to see about moving a rack of chairs to the court side. They didn't get shirts, I thought they should ask Mr. Pickles deli for sponsorship for shirts..
