TODAY: Jokers and Pegs Lessons and Games
Today, and every Friday, at 1:00PM meet new neighbors and have a fun afternoon in the Arbour Lodge. The activity is Jokers and Pegs. This game is not a card game but it uses a deck of cards to move your five pegs around a wooden board until you get all your pegs in the “home row” with exact move needed.
The game is easy to learn but the strategy and value of the card forces moves where anyone can be the winner at the last minute! Some people compare it to the board game Sorry!
Residents sought Glenbrooke Community Association (GCA) approval to be a 'recognized' group from the Board of Directors on Wednesday night at the 2011 Annual Meeting. The group's application was sent to the board by staff but "was somehow left out of their board packets" However we have been told that the Board will do a written consent to approve it since it was already part of the agenda. In the meantime, join the group any Friday at 1:00PM - new players are always welcomed!
