Mayor Scherman and the Senior Center of Elk Grove areteaming up for this one-day event to benefit the Elk Grove Food Bank Services.Elk Grove Mayor Sophia Scherman came up with the idea of “Fill the Bus,” and plans to makethe fundraiser an annual event.“The Food Bank has always struggled more in the summer as demand increases, while suppliesdecrease, sometimes rather rapidly,” says, Executive Director, Marie Jachino.
