Saturday Night Free Cake and Ice Cream with Friends and Games
The monthly MINGLES social for the entire neighborhood is this Saturday, August 14, 2010. The event starts at 6:00PM in the Arbour Lodge Ballroom. One night a month MINGLES hosts a get-together with a theme. The theme this month is Birthday Celebrations.
Anyone who has had a birthday this year is invited to celebrate with your neighbors. Cake and Ice Cream will be provided by GlenbrookeNews.com which is celebrating it’s First Year this month.
MINGLES meets every Saturday night in the Arbour Lodge at 6:00PM for games. Some people play card games, some play Mexican Train, Pickle ball, Ping Pong or billiards. Everyone is invited to join in the fun any time. If you have a particular game you enjoy, bring it and teach others - the more variety there is the better!

A GREAT BIG THANK YOU Jim & Darcie for giving us GlenbrookeNews and treating us all to cake and ice cream tonight in celebration of the First Year. It's great to have this outlet to keep each other informed of events in and out of Glenbrooke....a lot of fun things, sometimes a sad thing, but most of all a team effort in supporting each other when the need arises.
Thanks to the entire team of people tonight and the team that made the year successful!
Hey, Norma, I heard you played a mean game of pickle ball tonight!
Well..."mean" might be a good word for it if that covers not knowing what in the heck you were doing. but I did like it. Have to check the net and see if I can understand the game better. It did help since there were three experienced players helping two of us females for the first time. I must say they had a lot of patience.
