TONIGHT IN THE LODGE – Tell Me a Story (TELMAS)
Tonight, Wednesday July14th is TELMAS. Organizer and leader of the TELMAS group, Don Marler, will be the speaker. Don will speak about his experience in Vietnam on combat missions in the AC-130 gunship. The program will start at 6:00PM in the Arbour Lodge. There is no charge for TELMAS and refreshments are served.
Don was in the Air Force for twenty-two years. One year he served as a Low Light-level Television Operator and Fire Control Officer on the AC – 130. A four-engine flying artillery platform, the aircraft was nicknamed “The Angel of Death” due to the shape the anti-missiles made. Don will describe the men, machines, and tactics used in flying over Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.
