WANTED-Tickets to July 2nd BBQ
The Independence Day Kick- off BBQ , on July 2nd , is sold out! The office is no longer doing a wait list for tickets, so if you have purchased tickets and your plans have changed, please post your name and number of tickets below or in the forum section. If you would like tickets, post how many you need and hopefully you will be able to connect with someone that cannot use the ones they bought- just exchange the yellow receipt.
The Glenbrooke community event will start at 6PM. Music will be provided by the Davis Doo-Wop band, Frankie and the Fabletones who will be playing all your 50's and 60's favorites. Cost is $ 20.00 per person.
Catered by Hickory Hanks, the BBQ will include BBQ ribs, chicken, potato salad, Caesar salad, BBQ beans and dinner rolls.

Just curious....how many people can be seated for a dinner such as this? Why are occasional updates not posted on the "official" web site for every event along with numbers of tickets available? Is every available room being used to have the events so no one is left out? Warm weather...how about the patio? Looks like we'll never be able to accomodate everyone when it's sold out. Be like Black Friday...a stampede for tickets.
In checking with the office today (Thursday, July 1), they said they are not doing the wait list anymore. If people can't use their tickets, they will have to work out an exchange with someone that wants them on their own.
We can help via this posting under comments or on the forums.
Want tickets? Post your name and that you are wanting tickets.
Have tickets you can't use? Let us know how many and hopefully we can help connect you with someone that will like buy them from you.
You schedule the event, sell the tickets...what's one more page for the residents that have no other way to make contact to pass along a ticket they can no longer use and make it available for some other kind sole?
The numbers for the events seem to be limited to some unknown number, so let's give every resident the same opportunity to attend....how much time does that take anyway?
We're not "ticketmaster", we're a community that looks out for each other, assists one another in times of need, communicates, all that good stuff OR at least I thought that was what Glenbrooke was all about. We seem to make everything sooooooo difficult when it's sooooooo simple.
Of course, this is JMO!
It is a shame when there are people that want to go and any unused tickets. The last RiverCats gamepeople were told tickets were all gone - then many residents that went said there were LOTS of empty seats.
Things happen and plans change, but if that happens one should be able to turn in an unwanted ticket so someone else may buy/ use it.
For many it is difficult to confirm a date a month ahead of time.
Elsie R. is looking for one ticket,. if you have one please give her a call at 667-8551
If she can't get a ticket she should take her own dinner down to the pool and join with neighbors to enjoy the music. I don't believe they are closing the lodge and swimming pool for this function - are they???
Great idea.....anyone else ready?
Perfect! Glenbrooke neighbors are the best, it looks like everyone got tickets that posted 'wanted'!
