Thanks Vickie. What I actually meant, obviously didn't explain very well, was to delivery all six together at the same time the Gazette is delivered. My thought being there are many...based on attendance I've seen at the BOD meetings, etc., that will have no background on the candidates. It is also doubtful that the candidates will be able to canvass each and every home. Could be the better idea would be for each candidate to deliver their own resumes, but again that would mean six people ringing my doorbell with a speech to deliver that I don't even want to listen to. My thought being that every resident should have the resumes...how that happens ????????

I don't think it would be a good idea as you would have problems with the order they are given out in, what if someone's wasn't listed, etc - politics gets real ugly at times. I would think the candidate's might want to take their fliers to the resident's and introduce themselves which would be a good way to campaign for votes and get to know their neighbors. I remember first voting for Lloyd Connelly for City Council because when we were doing yard work and he came by and introduced himself and said his door would always be open.

The Gazette Volunteer Distribution System worked great for the first delivery and they are planning to deliver the Gazette around the 25th of the month. It will be delivered between 8 am to Noon. They will be placed on each door step, preferably anchored under a door mat, but visible to the homeowner. The volunteers are being asked to ring the doorbell or knock so resident's know they have news. As time goes by there will be a few residents that will opt out of the front door delivery. The homes asking for "no delivery" will be indicated on the assignment sheets.

Volunteers are ask to wear the Glenbrooke ID badges. The Neighborhood Watch will be alerted to the deliveries.

Bill Elliott is doing a great job organizing the Distribution Committee so we will see how it goes next week.

Anyone know if the candidates resumes are being delivered to each home along with the suggestion form? Just thinking about that......lot of work for the committee and many probably already have them or have read them on their computers. Any feedback from the last delivery?
