This weekend is the 53rd annual Elk Grove Western Festival, celebrating 10 years of Cityhood.
The festivities begin on Saturday, May 1st at 10 a.m. with a community parade and runs through Sunday - two days of family fun at the Elk Grove Regional Park.
On tap is a weekend of wonderful entertainment, great food, a car show, art exhibit, the new Kid's Zone, crafters, community businesses, and an old fashioned carnival. For More information vist the website HERE.

For all the art lovers, more than 230 pieces of student art will be on display for the Elk Grove Artists High School Art Contest and Show in the parks pavilion. Many will go on to submit their art for the state fair and other shows and contests.
Seems the weather will be in the 70's to low 80's. Great day for the festival.
