April 19th, the MINGLE Group will take part in a special Tour Package of Ironstone Vineyards.  Hurry, you must sign up by NEXT WEDNESDAY, April 7, 2010.   The tour will begin promptly at 11:00am.  At noon there will be a wine tasting, followed by the grand luncheon.  All Glenbrooke residents are invited.  The cost is $ 39.00 and includes all of the following: 

Exclusive tour of the facility, coupled with a private wine and canapé tasting, and a grand luncheon. 

Starting around March, there is an explosive burst of over 300,000 daffodils in bloom that signal the coming of Spring followed by the blooming of  Tulips, Camellias, Dutch Iris, Rhododendrons and Azaleas.  There are 14 acres of flower gardens with ponds, turf and walking trails

You will enjoy the private walking tour of the Ironstone facility, which includes:

Heritage Museum where the 44-pound crystalline gold nugget is on display;

Outdoor amphitheatre, site of the summer concert series;

Beautiful Lakeside Park, home to the Sunday Concert in the Park series;

The 400-foot long arbor and covered bridge;

Wine Caves and Breezeway;

Culinary Center where the demo kitchen is located; and

The Music Room housing the Alhambra Theatre Organ.

At the conclusion of the tour in the Culinary Center/Music Room, you will experience a private wine tasting of seven wonderful varietals, each paired with a specially prepared canapé.  The grand luncheon will follow. You will also receive a 5% discount on select merchandise in our Tasting Room.

The Ironstone Vineyards Winery is located in the historic gold rush town of Murphys approximately 75 miles from Elk Grove.   We will meet at the lodge, provide maps and driving directions and try to arrange as many car pools as necessary, but you will be responsible for your transportation. 

We need at least 25 people for this special event however; we already have 16 confirmed (by joining with small social group from Sonora).
