Action Group Turning up the Heat with Billboards
Elk Grove City Council Meeting.......April 14th at 6:00 p.m.
The much anticipated EGCC meeting where the city's Sphere of Influence (SOI) is scheduled to be discussed. The Wilton Action Group (WAG) is turning up the heat with posting roadside signs imploring residents to attend the meeting as a signal to fight the floodplains inclusion in the SOI application to preserve the Cosumnes River floodplain and Wilton's rural lifestyle. There are also many Elk Grove residents that are joining in this effort to have the floodplain removed from the SOI. There have been many meetings prior to this which some may have attended to become better educated as to how this could potentially affect our way of life also.
A Rally is scheduled for 5 p.m., prior to the meeting with Media in attendance. This meeting has the potential to draw several hundred people. My suggestion would be to arrive early if you wish to attend. Can also be watched LIVE on the city's web site.
