NOTICE OF PUBLIC outreach MEETING
Amendments to Title 23 of the Municipal Code
(Zoning Code)
The City of Elk Grove is beginning the process of reviewing the City’s Zoning regulations and considering a series of targeted amendments to the Code. These regulations are contained in Title 23 of the City’s Municipal Code and are often referred to as the Zoning Code.
On April 5, 2010, the City will be holding a public workshop to kick off this effort. The meeting will focus on an overview of the project and an introduction to the issues and regulations the City is reviewing. Residents, businesses, development stakeholders, and other interested persons are encouraged to attend the meeting, learn about the project, and share their thoughts. The meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the Elk Grove City Council Chambers, located at 8400 Laguna Palms Way, Elk Grove. The meeting is open to the general public.
More information about the project can be found on the City of Elk Grove Planning Department’s website, including an online version of the Zoning Code, at www.egplanning.org. Additional information can be obtained by contacting Sarah Kirchgessner, Senior Planner, at 916.478.3649, or at skirchgessner@elkgrovecity.org.

| Sphere of Influence Discussion
Many of you know, a broad coalition is forming to pull back the City of Elk Grove Sphere of Influence (SOI) application to remove the floodplain. Elk Grove should be laser focused on its core function of keeping the community safe and growing good, local, jobs. Not, expanding its SOI to include flood land. If you want to weigh in on this issue, please attend the final public meeting on the SOI next Wednesday, March 31st at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chamber. You can also visit www.ElkGrove2020.org and cast a vote in the online poll. Census Time! Don’t forget now is the time to fill out your Census form and send it back. By filling it out, you will better position Elk Grove for resources to build better infrastructure, hospitals, job training centers, schools, senior centers, and emergency services. And, it’s the law! |
