I have noticed that happens a lot here in EG...maybe due to the more narrow streets and also the gentle slope of the sidewalk to the curbs. In older neighborhoods it was not easy to get the wheels on the sidewalk and the streets were also wider. I really hadn't thought much about it until my neighbor mentioned she had a problem and also with a vehicle not clearing the sidewalk when parking in the driveway. Believe it's visitors mostly, guess we need to remind them about this inconvenience when they come by. I'm sure they hadn't even thought about it. I hadn't until I heard it here.

As it happens, this is one of my pet peeves, too. Very annoying to have to detour around a car that is parked on the sidewalk!
