Senior Center reopens January 2nd!
The Senior Center of Elk Grove (SCEG) will be re-opening after a remodeling project, on Saturday January 2, 2010 for the regular Pancake Breakfast.
The Lions Club hosts the monthly pancake breakfast on the 1st Saturday of every month from 8:00 – 10:00 AM at SCEG, 8830 Sharkey Ave. in Elk Grove. The breakfast consists of pancakes, eggs, sausage, fruit, orange juice and coffee The Senior Center's auxiliary also sells baked goods and the center's Treasure Chest thrift store is also open. Cost for the breakfast is a reasonable $5.00 per person.
SCEG received Community Development Block Grant funds from the City of Elk Grove for a fresh coat of interior paint, new dining room floor, new carpet and new lighting. Other projects will also be completed during the closure.
SCEG partnered with the Cosumnes Community Service District in order to continue some of their regular programs.
