Bringing Neighbors Together

Flu shots – Do you have yours?

bird-flu-vaccineIn an interesting twist, most of us Glenbrooke residents are not priority candidates for the H1N1 (swine flu) vaccine, but we remain among the groups most benefitting from seasonal flu vaccination.

Because so much capacity was redirected to producing H1N1 vaccine, there are shortages of seasonal flu vaccine, and some available supplies are being diverted to those who would benefit most.

The New York times did a  story on the issue today, which may be of interest. See
Shifting Vaccine for Flu to Elderly for more details, and also the NY Times excellent health guide for immunization information.

  1. Maybe we're considered "throw-aways". (~_~) Doctors don't have it, but the airport does! Now, does that make any sense?

  2. Free Clinic in Elk Grove.....December 12......10am - 2pm Franklin High School, 6400 Whitelock Parkway
Available to all Sacramento County residents, rather than priority groups. (Info per SacBee)
