Food Drive
Coming events highlight Old Town meeting
Old Town Elk Grove will be the site of a Food Drive the first Monday after Thanksgiving. Old Town Foundation member Kristy Peck told the group's Oct. 27 meeting that the lighting of a special Food Drive Christmas Tree will highlight the day's activity.
Activities will take place at the Secret Garden store in Old Town Elk Grove, and the Elk Grove Real Estate Association will take part. Various features such as food and wine tasting will take place.

Would anyone be willing to be in charge of a barrel at the lodge so we can donate food there? We will be in and out and I can't take on one more thing, but it would be nice to have a central place to drop things off then have someone in charge of taking it to the food bank. I'm sure it would need to be cleared by Mina or Erin.
Someone get the barrel or box and clear it with Mina. Jack & I along with our son will take care of delivery to the Food Bank in advance of their making up baskets for families. Will check for date they prefer delivery.
Information I have from the Food Bank: They will be packing boxes for the Christmas dinner box giveaway December 9 - 15th. Giveaway is December 16th. They are especially looking for:
Stuffing mix
Gravy mix - canned or envelope
Canned evaporated milk
Canned pumpkin
Canned yams
Cranberry sauce
Year round: protein type items...tuna, chunky soups, peanut butter, beans, etc.
