Bringing Neighbors Together

Be Part of making City of Elk Grove history

charterElk Grove Community Connection cordially invites you to a Forum on the City of Elk Grove’s Draft Charter.

The Elk Grove City council has given direction that our city’s Charter be placed on the June 2010 Primary Ballot.

Community input is critical to the final draft, which must be completed by January 2010.   Our leaders need to hear from  “ We the People.”   This meeting is a follow up to the District 2 meeting whereby District 2 leaders cordially invited the entire community to discuss our city’s potential “construction.”

Plan to attend October 29, 2009 from 6:30p.m.  To 8:30 p.m.  At Elk Grove City Hall in the Council Chambers, 8400 Laguna Palms Way, Elk Grove.

Hosted by Jake Allen, Charter Commission Chair with Special Guests Mayor Patrick Hume and Council Member Steve Detrick

Please attend this important meeting for our city’s future!

  1. I attended this meeting tonight and thought "maybe" there might be some who would be interested in reading what this is all about. It is my understanding that there will be another community outreach and discussion meeting on November 3, 6/6:30 PM at the same location. You can go to http://www.elkgrovecity.org to pull up the web site for information. On this page look under Quick Links for Charter Commission..click. Once you have pulled up the Charter Commission web site go to Charter Documents and Informational Documents, Comparison Charts. This should pretty much educate you prior to attending a meeting if you choose. At this time information I have is that it will be placed on the Ballot in June for the residents of EG to vote on.
