What happened to our fountain?

Passing our beautiful fountain Friday morning, I couldn't help but notice it was almost empty. Returning forty-five minutes later, it was starting to fill but still looked sad. I asked the maintenance man if it would be out of commission for long. He said he hoped to have it back up by late afternoon.
About that time I saw Mary Weatherill and her precious grandson. For those that don’t know, Mary is our diligent neighborhood watch coordinator.
Mary may have saved the city a sizable chunk of change by calling them when she noticed the water was draining in the fountain. Even though they responded quickly, by the time they arrived the pump was starting to moan. They were able to turn the right valve and start filling it with water in time to save the pump from burning out. Our fountain should be dancing in the sky again by this evening. Thanks Mary, for keeping a watch on our community.

Fountain still not working.
This afternoon (Wed.) I was pleased to see the fountain shooting back in the air!
Thanks Mary for your eagle eye and preventing expensive repairs!
