Bringing Neighbors Together

DOG club Meeting Friday

aaa_cuddlesJust a reminder:   The Dog club will meet  Friday, October 9,2009.   We will meet at 11:30 in the game room at the Arbour Lodge.
If you own a dog, please  join us.   We will be discussing setting up  regular play dates at Dog Park.

The next project will  begin working to establish a dog sitting co-op or exchange for those times when we are unable to take our companions with us.

The Dog Club will continue to work on the PETS of Glenbrooke picture project.   (See the link at the top of the home page).   If  we do not have your pet's picture, please email newsofglenbrooke@gmail.comor call Gayle Kearns or Darcie Gore and we will be happy to arrange a time to take their picture.      If neighbors see the dog  in the neighborhood they can check the pets page to findout where they belong.

  1. Cuddles has made the news...... Yeah. Thank you for using Cuddles' picture for your story.

  2. Yes, she is now a 'cover girl" we will feature a different Glenbrooke Pet for each dog club article.

We are going to do a play date for all Glenbrooke dogs at Morse Dog Park on October 16, 10:00AM.
It would be great if everyone can bring their dogs to get a chance to meet other neighborhood dogs off leash in a neutral place. This really does help them relax when they see the neighborhood dogs walking on leash.

See you there. If someone needs a ride please call us.

  3. We'll be there if the storms has passed and the grass is dry again.

  4. Hope the grass is dry by Fri. or you'll reschedule, right?

  5. Good point, Ulla!
We will try to meet Friday's at 10:00 for play dates. It is a good idea to first call the
Dog Park Information Hotline at (916) 405-5355
The close the dog parks for rain or if the grass is too wet. Sometimes there is even an event going on that will close the dog par as was the case for the Pumpkin Festival at Elk Grove Dog Park.

If this day doesn't work for you suggest alternate days and we can see what works best for folks.
