Free Trees

ornamental treeShade Your Home with Free Trees!
If your home has an eastern, western, or southern exposure that heats up during the summer, you’re probably eligible to receive free trees from SMUD.  To get your free trees, just call the Sacramento Tree Foundation who partners with SMUD.
The Sacramento Tree Foundation provides expert advice on tree selection and planting techniques, and healthy trees from 4’ to 7’ tall, along with stakes, ties and tree delivery at no cost to you.  All you do is promise to plant your trees according to the guidelines and care for the trees. Just call the Tree Foundation at 916-924-TREE (8733) or visit www.sactree.com to schedule a visit from a Community Forester. An appointment will be made for the Community Forester to come to your yard to determine the best location to plant your free trees and guide you in your selection of tree species. Fall is the best time to plant trees in our region, so call now for your appointment.

(editor's note: of course we must comply with the DRC guidelines).
